Training Your Letting Agency Cannot Afford to be Without

Our course dates for 2018 were published just before Christmas. From the Core 5 Courses (Day to Day Lettings & Management, Block Management, Advanced property Management, Inventories, Deposits & Disputes, Legal lettings & Repossessions) to our New Workshops,  there is something for everyone. The 2 workshops will sit back to back -The AM session will focus purely on legislative changes: -General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which will apply from 25 May 2018 specifically with letting agents in mind.Changes to the Gas Safety RegulationsThe Impact of the Electrical Safety RegulationsHMOs and Legislative ChangeClient Money ProtectionThe Energy Performance Regulations - April 2018 & April 2020

The PM Session focuses on reviewing business practices in order that your letting agency is ready for the Tenant Fee Ban (Future Proofing Your Letting Business). This course begins with Reflection on existing practices, moves on to the Draft Bill and the Fee Ban, in particular the Prohibited and Permitted Fees.

The main element deals with the current fees charged by letting agents to their landlords. The emphasis will be on what services the letting agent offers and how a letting agent values their worth. It is surprising for so many letting agents and property managers that in the grand scheme of things, their monthly commission is quite low. With the Government looking to abolish the fees charged to tenants, it is crucial that letting agents focus on the way they intend to run their businesses in the future.
