Supporting Letting Agents through change:- How our Webinar programmes have evolved.

On 17th July 2026, we welcomed members to our latest webinar, continuing a programme that has become one of the most valuable ways we keep our clients informed, answer questions and provide practical guidance during periods of legislative change.

What began as a response to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic has evolved into an established benefit, helping professionals stay informed and prepared as the regulatory landscape continues to change.

From pandemic support to legislative insight

We launched our webinar programme during the pandemic, when members needed timely, reliable information as restrictions and guidance changed at pace.

The response demonstrated just how valuable regular online briefings could be. They provided an opportunity to hear directly from our experts, ask questions and gain practical advice on the issues affecting the profession.

As the Renters Rights Bill was introduced to Parliament, our focus naturally shifted. We expanded our programme to help members understand the proposed reforms, explain the legislative process and explore what the changes could mean in practice.

Throughout the Bill's progress, we delivered regular updates as amendments were made and new information became available, helping members distinguish between proposed measures and confirmed legislation.

Since the Renters' Rights Bill received Royal Assent, the need for regular updates has only grown. As implementation progresses and further guidance continues to emerge, we've increased the frequency of our webinars to ensure members receive timely, practical information they can apply with confidence.

July's webinar

Our webinar on 17th July focused on the latest developments following Royal Assent and the practical implications for landlords, letting agents and housing professionals.

As always, the live Q&A generated thoughtful discussion. One question, in particular, resonated with many attendees: Are there still areas of the legislation that lack clarity, and could some elements have been explained more effectively by government?”

While the legislation establishes the legal framework, there are areas where interpretation and implementation will inevitably depend on supporting regulations, statutory guidance and developing case law. As with many significant pieces of legislation, not every practical scenario can be addressed within the Act itself.

There was also recognition that, for some aspects of reform, earlier or more detailed government guidance would help letting agents prepare with greater certainty. As implementation continues, we expect further clarification to address many of the questions currently being raised across the sector.

This is precisely why our webinar programme remains so important. Members are looking not only for an explanation of what the legislation says, but also for practical insight into how it is likely to operate in real-world situations and where uncertainty still exists.

Looking ahead

The introduction of the Renters' Rights Act represents one of the most significant changes to the private rented sector in a generation. As implementation continues, our commitment remains the same: to provide members with clear, balanced and practical guidance based on the legislation, government publications and emerging best practice.

We'll continue to deliver regular webinars as new developments arise, helping members understand what has changed, what remains uncertain and what actions they should take to remain compliant.
